The afternoon was more calm. I met two American and a German dudes at the hotel. I visited a nice museum and I treated myself with a foot massage.
Thai are beautiful, they really take care of themselves. One thing tho. Rich and wealthy people are not working in the fields so they are not supposed to be tanned. It is considered a mark of beauty to be really white. To enhance this pale skin, a lot of them use a sort of bleach cream who transform the natural colour of their face into something between the grey and the pale purple. That’s how I ended up being massaged by a Thai gentlemen who obviously wanted to look like Michael Jackson. I think…
I met Thierry and Arnaud again at the hotel and we spent the rest of the afternoon drinking thousand of cans of coca cola. Until… The sky felt on our head. Suddenly water – at this point, we can’t call it rain anymore – started to crash down on the pavement to form rivers. We were quite impressed and a bit scared to see that even big branches were falling down on cars. It stopped like it began. That’s how it rains in Asia?
