I woke up with difficulty as my nose was bloked and my throat was sore as hell. I decided to skip the cooking lesson class and met Chloé for a quick breakfast and a visit of a temple. Afterall, I am staying in South East Asia, I will have the time to cook on the way if I really want to. Traveling is also choosing. You can’t do everything and go everywhere!
That’s where I interviewed her. She is also writing a blog that you can follow here: https://cocorunsherworld.wordpress.com. Chloé is a smart, strong and sensible nice girl who has a such an interesting view about how is it to travel solo in South East Asia. It was such a pleasure to exchange our experiences and fears and joyfulness. I start to think that solo women travelers have a lot in common in their character… I don’t think you need to be like them to travel, it’s more probably that you gain this strength after traveling.
The afternoon was a bit strange… I felt suddenly really depressed and because I was sick I didn’t really wanted to meet new people or do any kind of activities but I didn’t want to stay on my own neither. I guess that like everybody who has a cold, you just want your mum in these kind of situations. You know? And some pasta-ham for dinner also.
The entire afternoon was spent in this horrible bedroom I was staying in, not doing anything really. I happily had a call from Thierry at 8.00, when I started to think that I just ruined one day of my trip. I had this mixed feeling between guilt and sadness… So what a pleasure to meet them for a nice evening. It was like joining members of your gang, or family. You feel a little bit warmer and at home.
We said goodbye that night. But not forever!
