You can be anti or pro Facebook but when it helps you finding in Bangkok some mates that you’ve met on the way, you have to cherish this social media. A simple location post by Thierry made us realized that we could see each other one more time before they fly back home. We all wanted to go to Chatuchak, one of the biggest market in Asia. It was also the occasion for me to try to take the metro for the first time, but not on my own.
Kao San Road is not well placed in terms of public transports. If you want to go somewhere, you have to take the taxi… Or the boat! For few bahts, you jump on a speed boat direction north or south. This is a great way to see Bangkok and the riversides, the temples, the fishermen, the new buildings and take a shower for free if you are sitting on the side of the boat.
I wanted to check out China town and even if the boys visited the area already, we stopped one stop before taking the metro and walked in the little Chinese streets. A lot of strange smells, shiny plastic jewels and some sharks tails in the windows after, we had a zero coke in a 7 – Eleven, Thierry favorite shop, ever. This shop is basically EVERYWHERE in Thailand. Even in the smallest villages, I bet you could find at least three of them.
I didn’t take any pictures of Chatuchak, I was too busy buying stuff… STOP BUYING STUFF, LOVE IS THE ANSWER! I know… I know… But I had a lot of love surrounding me that day!
Thierry, Arnaud, I love you guys. Thank you for being so nice and wonderful with me. It was amazing to start this big road trip with people like you.
