Ahhhh… Buses in Cambodia. You never know how comfortable are going to be the next hours when you book a ticket to somewhere. Most of the time you leave the town on time but the time of your arrival is quite uncertain. It is IMPOSSIBLE to arrive somewhere at the scheduled hour, that’s South East Asia. No need to stress you’ll be where you want to go, maybe you will change buses three times, maybe you’ll arrive 4 hours later, but be reassured, you’ll be there. Here is the perfect exemple for the sentence: “what matters is the goal, not the way”.
Sometimes, the most expensive tickets doesn’t mean you are going to be able to have a proper seat. I’d rather pay less, arrive later but be able to sleep or extend my legs than spending one hour less and feel broken for the rest of the day… But that’s just my way of travelling! Princess style you know…

What I like the most during a trip in a bus, is not really the music video dvd they project again and again… The most interesting part are the stops in the bus stations on the way. There is often little markets and restaurant where you can discover new food. That’s during this stop that I realized that my friend Anne was not wrong about the spiders… She wrote to me before I arrive in Cambodia to give me some tips and warned me about their love for eating SUPER SIZED FRIED SPIDERS. A bus station was the last place I expected to see weird meal served but I guess that I should stop expecting “normal” things in Cambodia.
 

That was a really sad day for me. I lost my Go-Girl. (One minute of silence please…) Remember what I wrote about this magic tool for girls traveling? Well, I’ve lost my little lilac best friend in these toilets. I just hope I’ll find a solution to have another one on the way as life was so much simpler with it. See how are the toilets in South East Asia? The bucket in the water is to flush… Can you imagine trying to go there, long skirt, flip flops, backpack, trying not to fall, trying not to touch anything, trying to pee in the hole and not on your feet? I WANT MY GO-GIRL BACK!
