Buddies

I’ve met these badass travellers at my hostel when I arrived in Bagan.

They were the kind of travelers who don’t count the countries they crossed in their life, the ones who are more into finding the most incredible village not visited by tourists before or analyzing their backpacks to find the ultimate object they can get rid off to travel lighter.

Both (talented) photographers, you can follow their adventures on Facebook for Claudio (please check his portraits of tattooed faced Myanmar women) and on Instagram for Will (ontheroadphotography).

They met on the road and a true friendship travel story began between them. I liked the fact that they were trying to catch each other sometimes on the road but had not the same plans and stayed independant.

They accepted me as a groupie for a day trip to Mount Popa. I felt so lucky to be around them, get to know their travel stories and take the little roads instead of taking a touristic bus to go to this sacred place in Myanmar.

The soft bamboo ball you see here is a rattan ball. It is used to play to the chin lone which is more an art than a sport really. Thai, Cambodian, Burmese, Vietnamese and Filipinos are crazy about it and there is even inter countries contests.
