Last day

My last day in Myanmar and it’s time for me to give you a conclusion about this country.

But I won’t. You’ve read the articles and you have seen the pictures and I hope it will give you the desire to admire the culture and the landscapes with your own eyes but more than anything, I hope you want now to go there and meet the people.

Markets

After the check out, I wandered around in the city and found many food markets where I had the chance to observe smiley faces and the usual food sold in South East Asia: of course on the floor.
You find here and there stalls where chatty ladies prepare the composition that men are chewing all day long. It is made with bitterleaves, lime stones and some nuts that give a red mouth. Looks like a lucrative business here…

Another story about toilets

Ahhhh… Buses in Cambodia. You never know how comfortable are going to be the next hours when you book a ticket to somewhere. Most of the time you leave the town on time but the time of your arrival is quite uncertain. It is IMPOSSIBLE to arrive somewhere at the scheduled hour, that’s South East Asia. No need to stress you’ll be where you want to go, maybe you will change buses three times, maybe you’ll arrive 4 hours later, but be reassured, you’ll be there. Princess style you know…

Chinese area and Chatuchak

You can be anti or pro Facebook but when it helps you finding in Bangkok some mates that you’ve met on the way, you have to cherish this social media. A simple location post by Thierry made us realized that we could see each other one more time before they fly back home. We all wanted to go to Chatuchak, one of the biggest market in Asia. It was also the occasion for me to try to take the metro for the first time, but not on my own.

Chiang Mai – Night Market

Thierry and Arnaud invited me to this big reunion of French people met on the way. How could I say no! With my little experience of traveller I know that it could be a great night or a disaster, depending on which kind of “French” they were. Fortunately, they were the good ones and even if it’s really hard to enter a group in which everybody already knows everybody, I had an amazing time that night.

Lop Buri – Day 1

I’m not that idiot and of course, when I planned to go to Lop Buri, I knew theRe was some ruins and monkeys there, but I promised that I’ve been really shocked by their presence in the city.

I dropped my bag a The Noom Guesthouse which was a really nice place, full of good vibes, with a nice terrace where the customers were spending their days relaxing and observing the outside world on a mattress.

My bedroom was really simple but for 150 THB, I was not complaining. I had everything I needed: a fan and a moskitoes net.
