I like taking the little roads when I visit a place but you never know if there will be a treasure at the end of the alley or if you’ll find the dump of the city. A nice and sunny path in the rice fields can turn into a muddy grey road. That’s when you regret to have come so far because you think you’ll never find your way back on time before sunset or because you feel that this dude working on the field is looking at you in a strange way.

I decided to stay in Koh Tao for my last week in Thailand so I haven’t been able to visit the two other famous islands of the East coast. However, I scheduled a last and ultime stop in Koh Samui to spend the night, before my flight to Indonesia.

Claudio and Will’s path separated from mine at that point. I jumped in a truck after warm goodbyes to the two cool dudes…
A group of friends invited me to join them to come back to Bagan… For free. I guess it does count like doing hitch hiking right?

Buddies
I’ve met these badass travellers at my hostel when I arrived in Bagan.
They were the kind of travelers who don’t count the countries they crossed in their life, the ones who are more into finding the most incredible village not visited by tourists before or analyzing their backpacks to find the ultimate object they can get rid off to travel lighter.
Little way to Cambodia
The day before, I tried to book a ticket to Cambodia for the next morning but no company would let me do it. They all said it was full and it was pretty expensive in the end. I just slept on the idea that I will find a solution… Later.
After a swim in the sea around 10 am, I decided that I wanted to go to Cambodia NOW.
