Like every Buddhist places I’ve been so far, I notice that a strong and peaceful feeling invaded me as soon as I stepped in. It is maybe all the prayers and the meditation done in one place, or the contact of the cold stones on my barefeet, or maybe this vibrant and intense gold shining over the white stupas and pagodas…

Markets
After the check out, I wandered around in the city and found many food markets where I had the chance to observe smiley faces and the usual food sold in South East Asia: of course on the floor.
You find here and there stalls where chatty ladies prepare the composition that men are chewing all day long. It is made with bitterleaves, lime stones and some nuts that give a red mouth. Looks like a lucrative business here…

This bar has nothing to do with reggae except the colors on the wall and the bob Marley picture illustrating the menu. But you have a live band playing sometimes and it’s just a great place to meet people. Like these expats from France and Maurice or these two football coaches from Nigeria…
