Second day with my big friends
A pumpkin cake in my stomach, Noi, a Mahout, an elephant and me started to climb the mountain in the jungle for a morning walk.

The rain starts to fall on the Elephant Retirement Park. I watch the rice fields and the luxuriant jungle surrounding what will be my home for that night. For a short moment, time stopped here in these green lanscapes. It feels good.

I can’t remember which blogger said that but this quote is one of my Mantra for this trip: “when you travel, you vote with your dollars”. That sentence made sense when I had to search for a place to spend some time with elephants.
Bangkok – Day 2
I woke up late that day and missed Marion and Eddy so I went outside on my own for this second day in Bangkok.
First, BREAKFAST! I walked to Khao San Road, really “well” reputed for its night life full of drunk and irresponsible backpackers and its day market. I asked for a mango juice to this lady on a little stall and I delightfully took a sip of it before realizing there was crushed ice in it… You can imagine my face transforming from a stupid smile to a grimace of horror. Well that was it… It was too late…
